It’s always fun to encounter those “Duh-reka” moments: when, Eureka!, you think you’ve discovered something truly new, original and awesome, only to learn a bit later that what you’ve “discovered” is not only non-original, but has in fact been known for ages and you simply did not know about it… Duh… Embarrassing..

But hey, I guess those moments signify only one thing – you are simultaneously engaged in the two most important human processes possible – learning and thinking.

So here comes what I believe might be my “duhreka” for the day:

Creativity is a state of constant disbalance. In order to be creative, one needs to distabilize one-self.

Now, is this something everyone knows, or what?
